clipped from econlog.econlib.org Here's a little poker rule to remember - if you can't identify the fish at the table, you are probably the fish. Does government know it's the fish at the table? If it is, then it's willing to be the fish. It has nothing to lose since it's playing with other people's money and has no accountability to the people whose money its playing with. In fact, it'll probably take the biggest cut of the winnings (should there be any - which I doubt) for itself.
