OChange You Can't Believe In

clipped from www.bloomberg.com

Nov. 11 (Bloomberg) -- It's hard to believe Barack Obama
would even think of calling this change.

Take a good look at some of the 17 people our nation's
president-elect chose last week for his Transition Economic
Advisory Board
. And then try saying with a straight face that
these are the leaders who should be advising him on how to
navigate through the worst financial crisis in modern history.

First, there's former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin. Not
only was he chairman of Citigroup Inc.'s executive committee
when the bank pushed bogus analyst research, helped Enron Corp.
cook its books, and got caught baking its own. He was a director
from 2000 to 2006 at Ford Motor Co., which also committed
accounting fouls and now is begging Uncle Sam for Citigroup-
style bailout cash.

Mulcahy and Parsons also once were directors at Fannie Mae
when that company was breaking accounting rules. So was another
member of Obama's new economic board, former Commerce Secretary
William Daley.

And He Smiled And Waved A Lot

clipped from patdollard.com

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know
how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a
perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our
country that has been evolving for about ten - fifteen years. The pace has
dramatically quickened in the past two.

We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make
massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?

We learn just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real
oversight by anyone, has “loaned” two trillion dollars (that is
$2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or
why or disclose the terms.

And I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral
German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former
smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German
knew next to nothing.
And he smiled and waved a lot.

Indistinguishable

Nazism and Facism are left-wing ideology. Take the racism out of the
equation, and a regular solial-democrat platform is indistinguishable from a
FACIST platform. Heath care, entitlements for veterans, eugenics, care of the
elderly, etc. Fascim promotes ACTION. Violence if its needed. And it usually is.
Or like, getting involved socially. Getting in people's face, like somebody said
not too long ago.

The "reasonable limits on free speech, assembly" etc came after the Reichtach
fire. Hitler did not seize power and make this up. He merely invoqued article 48
(?) of an illiberal constitution that allowed for the government to so this
stuff in case of crisis. All of it legal.

So, to answer the question: Facism is Socialism that substitute nationalism
for class warfare. Another take on it is to substitute race for class. Like
Reverend Wright. (Did you really think Jesus came up with this stuff?)

And, no, racism hasn't been taken out of the equation...

OFaithful Trinity

clipped from proteinwisdom.com

“One of the churches that I became involved in was Trinity United Church of
Christ,” Obama said in the interview. “And the pastor there, Jeremiah Wright,
became a good friend. So I joined that church and committed myself to Christ in
that church.”

Obama began attending the church in 1988 and formally joined Trinity in 1992.
Falsani asked, “Do you still attend Trinity?”

Obama answered, “Yep. Every week. 11 o’clock service. Ever been there? Good
service.
I actually wrote a book called ‘Dreams from My Father,’ it’s kind of
a meditation on race. There’s a whole chapter on the church in that, and my
first visits to Trinity.”

That is in direct contradiction to what he has said throughout this campaign
year.

O What A Surprise

clipped from www.qando.net
Via Scott at Flopping Aces this interesting find which calls into question a couple of existing myths about pre-invasion Iraq:
Charles "Sam" Faddis, who led a CIA team into northern Iraq
following the 9/11 attacks, says the Pentagon's "endless planning and delays"
foiled a chance to wipe out a band of al Qaeda leaders who were fleeing American
bombs in Afghanistan.

Faddis says the delays, beginning in
2002
, also facilitated the escape of some "key" al Qaeda figures,
including terrorist scientists who were working on chemical and biological
weapons.

"Some died, some are still on the run," Faddis said in a
telephone interview Tuesday, following his appearance on NPR's Diane Rehm Show
to promote a new book, Operation Hotel California: The Clandestine War Inside
Iraq.

"The site was physically destroyed ... but certainly the research
wasn't destroyed."
Naturally, this starts trickling out now.

Via Ace. The bad news? Obama was lying to us when he dismissed Ayers at the debate as merely “a guy who lives in my neighborhood.” The good news? We already knew that, thanks to Axelrod and Mayor Daley.

Anyway, belated confirmation.

“We had served together on the board of a foundation, knew one another as neighbors and family friends, held an initial fund-raiser at my house, where I’d made a small donation to his earliest political campaign,” he writes.

Yes, That Perestroika Has Worked So Well

clipped from en.rian.ru

MOSCOW, November 7 (RIA Novosti) - Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev has
said that the Obama administration in the United States needs far-reaching
'perestroika' reforms to overcome the financial crisis and restore balance in
the world.

The term perestroika, meaning restructuring, was used by Gorbachev in the
late 1980s to describe a series of reforms that abolished state planning in the
Soviet Union.

In an interview with Italy's La Stampa published on Friday, Gorbachev said
President-elect Barack Obama needs to fundamentally change the misguided course
followed by President George W. Bush over the past eight years.

Gorbachev said that after transforming his country in the late 1980s, he had
told the Americans that it was their turn to act, but that Washington,
celebrating its Cold War victory, was not interested in "a new model of a
society, where politics, economics and morals went hand in hand."

The Great FDR And The Slaughter Of The Jews

It's the seventieth anniversary of Kristallnacht.

While many Americans would also claim they were unaware of the
atrocities committed by the Nazis during the Holocaust, the events of November
9-10 were well documented. The New York Times ran a front-page story on November
11: "A wave of destruction, looting and incendiarism unparalleled in Germany
since the Thirty Years War and in Europe generally since the Bolshevist
Revolution swept over Great Germany today as National Socialist cohorts took
vengeance on Jewish shops, offices and synagogues for the murder by a young
Polish Jew of Ernst vom Rath, third secretary of the German Embassy in Paris."
Another Times story was headlined, "All Vienna's synagogues attacked."

FRANKLIN ROOSEVELT made no immediate comment after Kristallnacht,
referring questions about it to the State Department. Only after five days of
widespread public outrage did he take any action:

Way Out There

Something may be out there. Way out there.

On the outskirts of creation, unknown, unseen "structures" are tugging on our
universe like cosmic magnets, a controversial new study says.

Everything in the known universe is said to be racing toward the massive
clumps of matter at more than 2 million miles (3.2 million kilometers) an hour—a
movement the researchers have dubbed dark flow.

The presence of the extra-universal matter suggests that our universe is part
of something bigger—a multiverse—and that whatever is out there is very
different from the universe we know, according to study leader Alexander
Kashlinsky, an astrophysicist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in
Maryland.

And Don't Forget The Muslim Bigots...

MORE ON gays vs. blacks in Los Angeles. "By any standard, the conduct displayed by the bigoted gay demonstrators is outrageous, inexcusable, and indefensible. However, speaking as an individualist, I don't think it any more reflects on gays as a whole than it would reflect on blacks as a whole if some angry black demonstrators hurled epithets at gays or Jews." Plus this: "Can there be any doubt about the Muslim position on gay marriage? While there are no statistics on the Muslim vote, I would be flabbergasted if support for gay marriage mustered more than the single digits. Yet Mormons have been singled out as bigots. I'm wondering whether some bigots are more equal...."

Those Who Cannot Remember History

Fueled by easy credit, the real-estate market had been rising swiftly for
some years. Members of Congress were determined to assure the continuation of
that easy credit. Suddenly, the party came to a devastating halt. Defaults
multiplied, banks began to fail. Soon the economic troubles spread beyond real
estate. Depression stalked the land.

The year was 1836.

Much of this easy-credit-induced speculation had been caused, as it happens, by President Andrew Jackson. This was a terrific irony, since Jackson, who served as President from 1829 until 1837, hated speculation, paper money, and banks. His crusade to destroy the Second Bank of the United States, an obsession that led him to withdraw all federal funds from its coffers in 1833, removed the primary source of bank discipline in the United States. Jackson had transferred those federal funds to state banks, thereby enabling their outstanding loans to swell.

A True Opium

God Himself could not "reset the game" if He wanted: for in the Judeo-Christian
view, even what God does is done irrevocably.

This is an extraordinary
theological position, and it is easy to understand why "post-modern" or
"post-Christian" man, along with followers of every other known religious
tradition, should feel quite uncomfortable with such a restriction on God's
power. For with such radical freedom comes the pain of radical accountability:
to God, and also to each other.

But perhaps we don't care what happens to
others.

As I have quoted in the past, let me quote again, the profound
words of the late Polish poet Czeslaw Milosz, replying to the central lie in
Marxism, which remains the central post-modern or post-Christian lie: "A true
opium of the people is a belief in nothingness after death -- the huge solace of
thinking that for our betrayals, greed, cowardice, murders, we are not going to
be judged."

2.  The Waffen-SS were above the police and the military, they were
considered a 'National Security Police/Citizen Force'.  They did not come
into existance until Hitler created them and he used them to be the 'muscle and
killing' machine of citizens, officials, military officers, and judges that
would not comply with his agendas.  And now with Obama we are hearing that
there will be a new 'Civilian National Security Force' and we are told they will
be larger than the military, better funded, better equiped, and our military and
law enforcement will answer to them.        SOUND
FAMILIAR?   I thought the Left was 'for sure' that there were no
enemies here on U.S. soil.  So who is the ARMY being raised against but the
American citizens.

It is a chillig thought that maybe, just maybe........the fighting in

The Mufti Again

Original plans for the construction of the Nazi extermination camp of
Auschwitz, including a gas chamber and crematorium, have been found in a Berlin
apartment
, a newspaper reported Saturday.

Interestingly, the apartment that these plans were found in may have
been the very apartment/s' of the Grand Mufti and/or one frequented by Francois
Genoud.

Regular Atlas readers are familiar with Genoud
here
- Soros' collaboration with Nazi Francois Genoud
(they were both ONE WORLDERS) after the war (more
here
.)

If it is the apartment of the Grand Mufti it would further support the
'testimony' at the Nuremburg Trials of Eichman that stated 'the Grand
Mufti orchestrated the concentration camps and the killing of the Jews for the
muslims'.

The Grand Mufti was a personal guest of Hitler during WWII and lived
in an apartment in Berlin.

KROFT: No feeling of guilt?

Mr. SOROS: No.

KROFT: For example that, 'I'm Jewish and here I am, watching these people go.
I could just as easily be there. I should be there.' None of that?

Mr. SOROS: Well, of course I c--I could be on the other side or I
could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. But there was no sense
that I shouldn't be there, because that was--well, actually, in a funny way,
it's just like in markets--that if I weren't there--of course, I wasn't doing
it, but somebody else would--would--would be taking it away anyhow. And it was
the--whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being
taken away. So the--I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no
sense of guilt.

President-elect Barack Obama's newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm
Emanuel, served on the board of directors of the federal mortgage firm Freddie
Mac at a time when scandal was brewing at the troubled agency and the board
failed to spot "red flags," according to government reports reviewed by
ABCNews.com.

According to a complaint later filed by the Securities and Exchange
Commission, Freddie Mac, known formally as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage
Corporation, misreported profits by billions of dollars in order to deceive
investors between the years 2000 and 2002.

Really? Well, where
is the CNN/ABC/CBS/NBC/MSNBC prime-time, multi-day expose of this blatant
corruption that was apparently just installed in a position of power in the
incoming Hope-n-Change Administration?

Look no further than members of the only party in power in Washington, and the Chief of Staff for Barack Obama (who took more campaign slush fund money from Fannie-Freddie than any Congressperson save Chris Dodd (D).

Because it isn't likely is it?

Neither Thing Matters

Yes, I know there are probably other African-Americans much better qualified and
prepared for the presidency. Much, much better qualified. Hundreds, easily, if
not thousands, and without any troubling ties to radical lunatics and Chicago
mobsters. Gary Coleman comes to mind.
It's also heartening to realize that as president Mr. Obama will soon be working
hand-in-hand with a former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard like Senator Robert Byrd to
craft the incoherent and destructive programs that will plunge the American
economy into a nightmare of full-blown sustained depression.

So for now,

let's put politics aside and celebrate this historic milestone. In his famous speech at the Lincoln Memorial 45 years ago, Dr. King said "I have a dream that one day my children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." Let us now take pride that Tuesday we Americans proved that neither thing matters anymore.

Nuclear power plants smaller than a garden shed and able to power 20,000
homes will be on sale within five years, say scientists at Los Alamos, the US
government laboratory which developed the first atomic bomb.

The miniature reactors will be factory-sealed, contain no weapons-grade
material, have no moving parts and will be nearly impossible to steal because
they will be encased in concrete and buried underground.

the chance to work with,” says Biegun, a former Bush NSC aide. “I’ve worked in
Washington for 20 years, on the Hill, in the White House and in the private
sector, and she ranks at the highest levels of decency, kindness and
graciousness of anybody I’ve ever worked with.”
Nicolle Wallace, a senior adviser to McCain who helped on the Palin account
early on, said Friday on NBC that the governor was “perhaps the most un-diva
politician I've seen."

Twelve hours before Palin said all she’d ever
asked for was a Diet Dr Pepper, Wallace told NBC: “The only thing I’ve seen her
ask for is a diet soda.”
Two other McCain aides who were pressed unexpectedly into Palin duty also have
only positive things to say about her now.
“She's smart, insightful, and has an uncanny ability to ask the right
questions.”

Hope. Change. Thievery.

Newsweek Is So Dumb That...

So according to the hatchet man/woman who talked to Newsweek, Palin
is such an ideologue about drilling in ANWR that she won't stand next to
Bradley, even though John McCain has the exact same position?

And Palin is such an ideologue that she won't appear with pro-choice
politicians, even though she attended events with pro-choice Clinton donor Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild?

And we're really supposed to believe that Palin is so dumb she doesn't know
Africa is a continent, but she knew about the voting records of John Sununu and
Jeb Bradley in the first place?

Hmmm. I guess that might be remotely possible if it weren't for the fact that
John Sununu has a 100 percent pro-life rating from the National Right to Life
Committee
.

Glad to see that whoever leaked this story is too dumb to come up with a
plausible smear. And kudos to Newsweek for dumping this whopper without
bothering to check if Sununu is in fact pro-abortion.

The Job

One top McCain aide came to Palin’s defense today. Randy
Scheunemann, McCain’s top foreign policy adviser, who helped prepare Palin for
her vice presidential debate, praised Palin’s campaign effort and
intelligence.

“I’ve been working over 20 years in Washington and I’ve
been around literally dozens and dozens of politicians. She is among the
smartest, toughest, most capable politicians I’ve ever dealt with,” Scheunemann
said. “She has a photographic memory.”
She also has to broaden her
appeal. One of the things no one seems to understand is the role she played,
that of the attack dog, is the traditional role of a VP candidate.

That.
Was. Her. Job.

OSearing Sirhan Sirhan

In December 1997, Barack Obama gave William Ayers’ book on juvenile criminals a rave review.

Just a few weeks before this review was published in the Chicago Tribune, Obama
and Ayers appeared together on a panel about juvenile justice organized by
Michelle Obama on November 6, 1997:

Children who kill are called “super predators,” “people with no conscience,”
“feral pre-social beings” — and “adults.”

William Ayers, author of A Kind and Just Parent: The Children of
Juvenile Court
(Beacon Press, 1997), says “We should call a child a
child. A 13-year-old who picks up a gun isn’t suddenly an adult. We have to ask
other questions: How did he get the gun? Where did it come
from?”

Ayers will be joined by Sen. Barack Obama, Senior Lecturer in the Law
School,
who is working to combat legislation that would put more
juvenile offenders into the adult system
I find it very hard — no, make that impossible — to
believe that Barack Obama had “no idea” who William Ayers really was
Let's give up on the Ayer's was just a guy in the neighborhood bit, OK? Even CNN has put the lie to that.

So why the title reference to Sirhan Sirhan?

Well, it turns out that one of the people Ayers' first book "Prairie Fire" is dedicated to is Sirhan Sirhan. That would be the assassin of Robert F Kennedy, Jr!

#24: Long March Update

clipped from proteinwisdom.com

The Left has always been very good at one particular thing, committees, forming them, running them, setting up the underlying rules that govern them.

One of “Ric’s Rules” is “the ants will find the sugar”. The changes to the rules made sure that only the most ruthless and aggressive ants could gain and hold onto the sugar. After that nature took it’s course and “will to power” became the way to rise.

The first major results were seen in 1992. It was however premature and 1994 resulted. Those lessons have been learned. There will be a drive to make sure no Gingrich or Gingrich revolution can happen. “Never again” is not just a slogan for the “Holocaust Jews” only. The first 100 days of Obama will be some “interesting times”.

What we call “the long march through the institutions” is the same adjustment of the committee rules applied to other institutions.

Today I have dark thoughts and foresee dark times ahead. I pray I’m wrong and fear that I am right.

I Doubt #5 Will Ever Happen -- But You Can Count On The Second Holocaust

clipped from chizumatic.mee.nu

1. Obama's "hold out your hand to everyone" foreign policy is going to be a catastrophe. They'll love it in Europe. They're probably laughing their heads off about it in the middle east already.

2. The US hasn't suffered a terrorist attack by al Qaeda since 9/11, but we'll get at least one during Obama's term.

3. We're going to lose in Afghanistan.

4. Iran will get nuclear weapons. There will be nuclear war between Iran and Israel. (This is the only irreversibly terrible thing I see upcoming, and it's very bad indeed.)

5. There will eventually be a press backlash against Obama which will make their treatment of Bush look mild. Partly that's going to be because Obama is going to disappoint them just as much as all his other supporters. Partly it will be the MSM desperately trying to regain its own credibility

and 6. Obama will not be re-elected in 2012. He may even end up doing an LBJ and not even running again.

Skeletons, Ash And Hubris

But let’s not pretend you are being honest or principled. Graciousness is one thing; praise is another.

This “good man” was involved in ACORN blackmail schemes. With an attempt to fraudulently undermine the Second Amendment by gaming court rulings. He got rich off of schemes that led to the mortgage crisis — then stood by and let others fix it in order to keep his hands clean during the final stages of an election. He has thrown in with race hustlers,”reformers” who believe that domestic terrorism was a valid form of expression, odious foreign potentates –

There is nothing at all noble about praising a man and a party who reviles you simply because in doing so you appear noble. Jews have tried that. And it’s often ended with skeletons and ash, or the twisted wreckage of a bus in Tel Aviv.

Sorry. But good men don’t lie, cheat, steal, and throw longtime supporters by the wayside just so they can rise to power

The rest is hubris.
